The RCMII Women's Ministry was birthed in 2012. It is an action-based ministry that focuses on a Godly life with guidance from the Word of God. This ministry is designed for all women, all ages, and from all walks of life as we come together to provide Christian fellowship while promoting encouragement, hope, dignity, trustworthiness, wisdom, love, Faith, and endurance.
Our Scripture reference for the ministry is found in Philippians 2:2: "Fulfil ye my joy, that he be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind."
We have come together to explore and discuss many areas that affect our everyday lives such as Parenting, Drug addiction, Rest, Relaxation, Retreat, Alzheimer' Disease, Breast Cancer, Single Women, Marriage, and Discovering our Ministry Gifts. We also participate in a Women's Bible Study have fellowshipped with a Prayer Walk, Prayer Breakfast, Prayer Partners, Shoe Rally, Secret Sister, Paint and Punch, "Me and My Monkey" (in which each woman was given a monkey) to remind us that "as long as you have each other you can get through anything."
The Women's Ministry often partners with the Outreach Ministry to participate in providing for the Homeless (blankets, backpacks, toiletries, socks, gloves, snacks, etc.). We have also provided support to Homeless Shelters such as Sarah's House and shelters for Women and Children such as The Chrysalis House.
Our vision is to raise an army of women working in unity who will love God and point souls to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to teach each other to walk in Excellence and Integrity, to hold each other accountable to live in a manner that glorifies God, to always reach back and mentor the next generation, to daily lift each other in prayer and to always aspire to be "My Sister's Keeper".
Women On One Accord (WOOA) hosted a Vision Board Event with Tara Pickens of Vision Board, Inc. Many of the women shared their experiences and journeys from tragedies, setbacks, and struggles to triumph. Tara was so intuned with the ladies, that she provided everything they would need to fulfill their current life goals. The women were so excited they came from near and far. Some of the participants were from as far away as Tennessee, Alabama, and parts of Virginia. From the youngest to the oldest, we were truly blessed!
